Living the "Christian Life"

Living the "Christian Life" is when it's not about me anymore. It's Christ living in me, through me, and as me. It's a one life. His life manifesting it's self as me, and you. I'm not saying that me "Dave" is God, far from it. It’s God showing Himself to the world through me. That's really the amazing part. He is using me to glorify Himself.

It’s such a freeing experience. It’s not about me anymore. When I’m attacked it’s not me being attacked. When I’m praised it’s also not me being praised. I just contain the One who is worthy of the praise. It’s about giving God His due and He is due everything.

It’s living in the now, but not of this world. In my weakness is His strength. It’s total and absolute freedom. Its Colossians 1:27, “to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

The Romans Road to Salvation

The Romans Road to salvation is a way of explaining the Good News of salvation using verses from the New Testament Book of Romans. It is a simple yet powerful method of explaining why we need salvation, how God provided salvation, how we can receive salvation, and what are the results of salvation.
The 1st verse on the Romans Road to salvation is Romans 3:23.
Romans 3:23, For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
We have all sinned. We have all done things that are displeasing to God. There is
no one who is innocent. Romans 3:10-18 gives a detailed picture of what sin looks
like in our lives.
Romans 3:10-18, As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one; 11 There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God. 12 They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one. 13 Their throat is an open tomb; With their tongues they have practiced deceit; The poison of asps is under their lips; 14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness. 15 Their feet are swift to shed blood; 16 Destruction and misery are in their ways; 17 And the way of peace they have not known.18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

The 2nd verse on the Romans Road to salvation, Romans 6:23, teaches us about the consequences of sin.
Romans 6:23, For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
The punishment that we have earned for our sins is death. Not just physical death, but eternal death!
The 3rd  verse on the Romans Road to salvation picks up where we left off with Romans 6:23, “but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 5:8 declares, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Jesus Christ died for us! Jesus’ death paid for the price of our sins. Jesus’ resurrection proves that God accepted Jesus’ death as the payment for our sins.

The 4th stop on the Romans Road to salvation is Romans 10:9.
Romans 10:9, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Because of Jesus’ death on our behalf, all we have to do is believe in Him, trusting His death as the payment for our sins—and we will be saved!
Romans 10:13 says it again, “for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Jesus died to pay the penalty for our sins and rescue us from eternal death. Salvation, the forgiveness of sins, is available to anyone who will trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
The Final aspect of the Romans Road to salvation deals with the results of salvation. Romans 5:1 has this wonderful message, “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Through Jesus Christ we can have a relationship of peace with God. Romans 8:1 teaches us, “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Because of Jesus’ death on our behalf, we will never be condemned for our sins.

Finally, we have this precious promise of God from Romans 8:38-39, “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Would you like to follow the Romans Road to salvation? If so, here is a simple prayer you can pray to God. Saying this prayer is a way to declare to God that you are relying on Jesus Christ for your salvation. The words themselves will not save you. Only faith in Jesus Christ can provide salvation!
“God, I know that I have sinned against you and am deserving of punishment. But Jesus Christ took the punishment that I deserve so that through faith in Him I could be forgiven. I place my trust in You for salvation.
Thank You for Your wonderful grace and forgiveness - the gift of eternal life!

Amen!”

Crack ... a demon best sent back to hell

This is just one of many experiences that I had while spending 180 days in the County Jail.

One night about 8:30 I heard someone crying for help. I went down to where I heard the crying and saw a man curled up in a ball laying on his bed. He was obviously in tremendous pain. I decided to stay with him until the health nurse could come down to see him. I realized that his appendix had ruptured. I laid hands on him and started praying for his pain to be lessened and for his health. It took the nurse about 45 minutes to get there to see him then another 30 minutes before an ambulance arrived to take him to the hospital. I was praying the whole time. About 10 minutes into this whole ordeal I saw what looked to be a dark shadow rise up out of this man and then I heard it scream as it left him and went out through the wall. I realized that a demon had just left him because it couldn't take the Holy Spirit being pored out on him.

I saw him 2 weeks later and he told me that he had been delivered from a nasty crack addiction. He told me that he was a Christian but that he had a overwhelming taste in his mouth for crack. He said he tasted it all the time and he couldn't shake it. He told me that he felt and heard that demon leave him that night and that the taste for crack left with it. We spent the rest of that night on our knees praising God.

If we are containers of Christ then we contain all of Him. No limitations. Christ as you and me is equipped with spiritual gifts that vary among us in expression, and that these gifts are to be stirred and developed in ourselves and each other.
Praise God.

I Will Take No Condemnation

I Will Take No Condemnation  by Dave Moss from In Christ's Name Ministries.
John 3:16 promises us our salvation. So what happens after we realize that we are saved? Satan attacks and tries to convince us that we are surrounded by sin and are still in Sin’s bondage. That freezes us and keeps our heads down. So by keeping us scared he keeps us from our full victory in Christ. We Christians are to go BOLDLY unto the world proclaiming the freedom in Jesus.
Thus the next verse John 3:17 “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through Him might be saved. So if Christ didn't come here to condemn us why do we feel condemned? It’s all Satan’s lie.
See the lie for what it is and send it back to hell where it belongs.
